Located in Balmain, Mac is a single-storey cottage featuring beautiful water views from the upper level. The project addressed an incongruous and incompatible rear extension and second-storey addition that disrupted the heritage character of the area. The dark floorplan with level changes between living areas was transformed with a new addition that enhances light and connectivity. Generous openings to the garden and materials that complement the historic surroundings make this home a delightful blend of old and new.
